Yes, shadow IT never works out well in an org bigger than a small startup. Doesn't matter if it's the accountants whipping out their corporate credit card to just buy some random COTS accounting package with zero vetting from IT, security, etc., or if it's the accountants whipping out their corporate credit card to buy a NC/LC tool and code it up themselves. Shadow IT never gets security, auditing, compliance with rules, laws, regulations, corporate governance, etc. right. This isn't specific to NC/LC tools.
