Sprints, as practiced at most orgs I've been in/around, are a total and complete joke. It's just Waterfall rebranded, with shorter cycles and more chaos. I would rather not have sprints at all, and just use CI/CD + a prioritized work bucket system and provide status updates & demos to stakeholders on a regular basis rather than trying to force work into sprints, just so someone who has disguised a Gannt chart as a burndown chart can justify their continued paycheck.
