If you look at the charts the OP posted to another comment, let's just say "one would think that, but it's it isn't true". There's zero correlation between the binary size and RAM use. The Electron app is ~600 MB on disk and 163 MB in RAM, the Tauri app is 15 MB on disk and 154 MB in RAM... either the Tauri app is fetching a ton of resources from the network that just aren't showing on disk (which will actually make it slower!), or the Tauri system is super efficient with disk usage somehow, but still killing RAM.

Another important comparison would be CPU use.
