I have seen precisely "zero" benefits from "Agile" *as practiced and taught* by the "Agile Coaches", "Scrum Masters", and so on. All they are selling is the same problems as Waterfall, but with more meetings, more time away from actual work, more process, and most money dumped into expensive tools and useless people.

Whenever I've seen something that looked like "Agile" go well, it was done organically, no one was hired to "teach" it, no books were read, no formal methodology was adopted, it was just a team of people that did things like the Agile Manifesto talks about... putting people over processes, getting the development team closer to the users, eliminating middlemen and process and overhead... basically the total opposite of the "Agile" as taught by "experts".
