Came to comments to say the same. It would take a very unique course of logic...

I have no clue.

But anyone selling something that is a pure commodity like art is never *able* to exploit people, because there is no true need or dependency, and even if they use marketing or advertising to generate demand, it still will never rise to the level of "need".

And most of her stuff... really, other than her tickets... are right in line with other artists' merch, albums, etc. Oh, and her tickets aren't *that* expensive either. I recently paid $300 to see Genesis from fairly not-great seats. GENESIS. They haven't had a hit album in 30 years, they are too old to put on a good show, and the only reason to see them in concert now is (morbidly) because it's your last chance to see them ever. Other artists I have seen recently, including Guns 'n Roses, Lady Gaga, Michael Buble are priced maybe 25% (I know, that's a really mixed bag, wait till you here about the stuff that wasn't a stadium tour!) less than Taylor Swift tickets.
