And yet… Android is a dominant phone OS… while BlackBerry and Windows Phone failed (though WP failed in large part due to the association with Windows CE which was indeed terrible and proves your point). Windows is a dominant PC OS. Apple Music/iTunes defined the music industry for a decade. Etc. :D

For a lot of stuff, “good enough” is truly “good enough” for folks. They’ll grumble about it and maybe buy something different next time around. But the “good enough” becomes enough of a market incumbent, often through first mover advantages or simply fine marketing, to succeed and thrive and create enough barriers to entry to not face real competition.
